Jared jumps to new PR 22′ 0″ to break Bay State League Record and move to MA #1 and USA #50

Jared improved his seasons best by 7″ and his indoor PR by 2.5″ jumping 22′ 0″ against Braintree this evening to move into the lead in the Massachusetts state rankings by a half a foot and to move up in the National Rankings from #98  to #50 (less complete but accessible athletic.net has him 41st of of over 5,200 jumpers (top 0.8%)..   This qualifies him for the emerging elite level at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York on March 11-13th.   He also won the 55m and ran on winning 4x200m relay.

We credit it to finally understanding the physics of long jump (run fast and jump). And yes, this was a flat pit…

Breaking News

Official pointed out a week later that this jump broke the Bay State Conference Indoor Long Jump record. This record list is kept for performances in dual meets and the league championship.
