Kayla ran in her first track meet of the season and won the 55mm HH JV heat in a personal best 10.23.
Newton North is part of the 12 school Bay State conference and the whole conference competes every Thursday in a set of simultaneous dual meets. Kayla placed 14th out of 61 hurdlers competing. From the other 11 schools, only 9 girls ran faster. The other 4 came from Newton North.
