Day defeated the 7th-8th grade branch of BC High School today at the Day field 45-41. Jared won the long jump, moving into 1st place by a foot on his last attempt (14’11”). He won the 100 in 12.7. Going into the last event (4x200m relay), Day trailed BC 40-41. Jared’s friend Brandon put the team into the lead (over 4 BC high squads) and Jared achored the relay to victory and the 5-0 point spread for the team win. Jared contributed 15 of Day’s 45 points.

Awesome.. that’s got to feel good taking out the kids from the high school. I didn’t realize these meets are on grass. Is Jared hooking up with those shoes? It doesn’t look like any of the kids have spikes or even cleats; is that intentional?
