Kayla jumps to 12th in Div 1 State Champs; Newton Takes Home Crown

Kayla wrapped up her indoor track season by jumping 15′ 1 3/4″ (3rd best mark of season) to take 12th place in the Division 1 State Track & Field Championships today. Newton had a great meet, winning the overall title and unseating defending champs Newton South (results, Boston Globe article, Newton Tab article).

Kayla’s performance ranked 9th state-wide amongst freshman and sophmores competing in the four divisional state championship meets.
