As part of the assignment he had to write a letter confirming the details, a thank you note, and an essay.
Dear Mr. Prior:
Thank you so much for letting me observe your work. It was a very interesting experience and I had fun. My teacher mentioned that we kids lose sight of why we go to school and that is so true, so thanks for giving me an opportunity to regain my sight.
I learned a lot today about management and biochemistry. It was interesting to meet some of your colleagues and watch what you do during the day. My favorite part of the day was when we went to the  plant and saw the bioreactors and other equipment and I learned how it worked. When your friend Tim showed us the lab where some of the cells for one product are made. I also enjoyed when you were negotiating with some international clients.
Again, I’d like to thank you very much for doing this. It was very kind for you to bring me around all day and letting me observe activities even if you didn’t have to.
Sincerely,
Jared Prior
