Newton beats Brookline 100-81 in Girls Swimming

Brookline is to Newton as Ansonia is to Naugatuck….

Kayla anchored the B medley relay to 2nd place (beating A team from Brookline) with a  PR-tieing 27.5 and then followed up breaking 28 for first time in flat start 50 free for a flat-start PR 27.97 and grabbed 3rd place (missed 2nd by 0.01).  She then grabbed a 4th in the open 100 free in a flat-start PR 63.97 and then finished up by anchoring the 200 free relay to a 2nd place with a 27.93.    Her 50 free time meets the varsity letter qualification standard.

Kayla contributed 13 of the 93 points needed to put Newton over the top before they stopped scoring the last 2 events.

Newton Swimming vs. Framingham

Kayla got a 3 PRs 28.1 in 50fr, 27.5 in 50 relay leg, and1:03.low in 100fr relay leg (previous best 1:05.5).   Video has her 1st two races (had to split for soccer).   My timing is probably a bit off so ignore my watch.  Framingham was strong team and beat them.
