1/15/2009 Indoor Track Meet
Here is Kayla’s race from Thursday:
Girls 55m Hurdles Heat 8. This was her best recorded time thus far (10.35). She may have run a bit faster in last week’s meet but didn’t get electronic time for it.
Indoor Track Meet
We missed Kayla’s meet last night, but apparently not to worry. Even JV heat of dual meet makes the web

She creates a bit of a problem for the camera operator from a zoom point of view….
Kayla got a personal best of 10.09 (hand timed — which would be about 10.30 electronic).
Red Auerbach Freshman/Sophmore Meet
Kayla competed today in the Red Auerbach Freshman/Sophmore “Large School” state meet. This had most of the schools east of Worchester (as far away as Falmouth).
Kayla got 14th in 55m high hurdles today with a personal best of 10.42. Among freshman, she came in 3rd among the 30 entered.
She was seeded at in 32nd out of 72 entries and improved her time by almost 5%.
I took video and will upload soon, but it looks like I’m being put out of business by “Live from Reggie Lewis”! The whole meet should be online at this link in a day or two. They already have yesterday’s “small school” meet up!

Day Middle School Track Meet
Here is a short “flip” video of Kayla’s track meet today. It defaults to small size so clip right and choose “full screen” when viewing. She somehow spotted her competitor a 1 hurdle lead at the start but closed strongly for a close second and also got second in 100m. Her best long jump was a close foul. Her final meet in Wednesday in the all city meet.
