Jared scored the opening goal in a 3-0 win over Brookline on Saturday in Chestnut Hill (see opening photo sequenced in photos for goal). On Sunday, the team tied Weston 0-0 to bring their overall record to 2-0-2. Weston only had 9 players so Newton volunteered to play with only 10.

Jared had two MPS soccer games this past weekend. They dropped both games, but Jared impressed his new coach with his intensity in the first game (referring to him as mvp) and played him for all of both games. The 1st game was in Hopkinton so it made for a convenient marathon course dry run as well. Jared has a bit shin splints from track distance running now so he’s resting this week.

The Knights fell to the New England Football Club 1-2 (photos). Jared scored the teams goal.

Jared’s town travel team opened its spring season with a 5-2 win over Winchester (photos of team, Jared). Jared scored the 2nd and 3rd goals for the team.

Jared had his first outdoor soccer games since early September in the Seacoast tournament in Epping, NH (photos of Jared, photos of rest of team). The team dropped their first two games 0-2, 0-6, but won this morning 5-0. Dad enjoyed the return to outdoor lighting and low iso shots!

The Knights looked much improved over last summer, but dropped their matches 0-2, 0-2, 1-4 (photos).

MPS Knights lost 1st game 3-1 and then won games 2 and 3 by big margins. Jared scored 3 goals. I posted ~100 photos for the team. Don’t have a Jared-only gallery at this point. You can go straight to gallery by clicking on images below.

Jared was one of two players from his team chosen to represent the MPS organization (Bulldogs, Knights, Crusaders) on a combined team in this weekend’s Boston Elite Soccer Tournament in Lancaster.

The team won all three of its games. Jared scored early two goals in the wins against the New England Futbol Club (5-1) and the MCU Portland Phoenix (7-1) (see photos) and set up a key goal in today’s 3-2 win over a tough Seacoast United team from New Hampshire (see video). You can pick Jared out in the video by watching for his orange heels.
